The real Avast customer service is phenomenal, and the techs top notch. Some of you people complaining have been dealing with the fake Avast imitation sites.you should learn to tell the difference before complaining. Don't tell me Avast's techs are not helpful or that Avast is a scam operation. Verizon Digital Secure is an all-in-one security and privacy service that will help protect your mobile device and home computer while youre browsing online. In the end, it took the Avast tech talking to the ISP engineer to get the issue fixed. This went on for 3 days, with a number of techs (not AVAST) attempting to figure out the problem. Lenovo Help was useless ISP insisted it wasn't their problem. ISP said it was computer hardware problem. Avast Total Support tech told me in a minute it was an ISP engineering failure. Recently, serious problems began, primarily dropped connection, then inability to reconnect for hours, which could have been malware or virus related (but scans said system was clean) or hardware failures (computer or ISP modem, or ISP engineering issues. I've had to call them several times over the year, and never had any experiences like described in these complaints. With Avast Total Support, I have never waited longer than a minute to get through to a live technician, whose native tongue is English and who has been a whiz at figuring out the problem, and then fixing it.

I have uninstalled, re-doownload, and re-installed I don't know how many times, always tells me things are wrong that I know are ok - for example, it always says my network definitions need to be optimized, yet I have 25/15 service and always get 30/25 actual speeds, so what is unoptimized? That software is just junk IMHO, not needed at all.Avast has been a lifesaver. In fact it has never, ever worked correctly for me on Windows 7. I have never found a use for this program. If it runs ok that way, then the issue is most probably an updated add-on that is getting in the way the only way I know of to fix this kind of issue is disable one or a few add-ons at a time and see when the issue goes away, then try enabling those you just disabled one at a time until the error comes back. In the Mozilla Firefox folder on the Start menu is a start-up with no add-ons. If it is, besides the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware recommendation and the boot scan from Avast, I suggest starting Firefox without any add-ons and see if the error still occurs. It appears to me that the browser is Firefox, based on the message. I will also post this part of my post under error messages.

NET CLR 9 Media Center PC 6.0 HPNTDF BRI/1. User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible MSIE 8.0 Windows NT 6.1 WOW64 Trident/4.0 SLCC2. This morning when turning on the laptop it seemed different then I got the following message: Now for the real reason I am here at all.

So it seems to me that having this so called Agent on my computer is just a waste of space. Shouldn't it already know I have them? The trouble shooting I say it seems like my laptop is running slow - it tells me maybe it is a virus or malware and I should run a scan and if I want to get the bundle I already have.

I have 1 question and a problem - Question - what is the purpose of this Verizon In Home Agent? The only thing I have ever been able to figure out is that it asks me if I want to upgrade to services I already have.
